healthy dish
n Te Maunga for makerspace we had to make a healthy dish. First we planted carrots, parsley, celery and silverbeet. After some months we took them out of the garden and put them in a yellow box. Then last Friday we got into groups of five. I was with Ayanda, Brisa, Fern and Yazmin. Then we had to use one of the four vegetables that we grew in our garden or all four. For our healthy dish we used Lettuce, Tomato grapes, strawberries, almonds, cucumber and ham. It was yum and delicious gourmet salad. Then when the other groups made their dish we had three judges. They were Bridget, Miss Baylis and Mrs Pou. The three winners got chocolate and the rest of the groups got a fruit burst. Then we also did a T-shaped literacy about how plants grow. Also in our T-shaped literacy we had to explain how a plant grows and we had to read different stories to explain the seven steps in the t-shaped literacy of how a plant grows. Then that's all we did in makerspace and t-shaped literacy.
Recycling
In Te Maunga we did recycling t-shaped literacy about recycling. I am going to explain the four words we have been focusing on . Recycling is very important as waste has a huge negative impact on the natural environment. Reduce means to reduce the amount of waste. I am going to also explain reuse. Reuse means when you like you reuse like a used plastic bottle or something you can use again. Refuse is food waste, scraps and garbage.

Popping corn
In Te Maunga we did an animation based on our t-shaped literacy about plants. In our t-shaped literacy we had to read two stories or more if you finished early. I read two stories one was popping corn and the other was gardening in the living room. In gardening in the living room, I learnt about a school called Balaclava School and they had a living room for their big plants. Then in my other story I read I learnt seven steps how to grow a popcorn seed. Then when we did our animation we had to choose one story to an animation about and I chose popping corn. Also in my animation it tells you how to grow a popcorn seeds.

makerspace
In the class Te Maunga we were doing makerspace. We all had a choice to be in a group of 3,2 or by ourself. I was in a group of three. After we were in our groups our teacher gave out Juicies for our makerspace project. We had to do something to stop our Juices from melting in the sun. In my group I brought a big block of ice in an ice cream container. For our makerspace project I got white cloth and styrofoam. Then I got a hot glue gun and glued the white styrofoam on the ice cream lid. Then I got the white styrofoam and whit cloth and glued the white cloth on the white styrofoam. Then when we were all done with all our creations we all put them out side and left them for two hours. After two hours we took our Juicie out of our creation and mine was a little melted but a lot of it was frozen. After I took my Juicie out of our creation. My group and I had to show the class our Juicie and creation. Then at the end we got to eat our Juicie.
